Wylderness exists to immerse you in the people, culture and landscape of the Middle East. We also offer unique faith-based journeys and retreats.

We co-create experiences with locals, so curious travellers meet and learn from local communities rather than only sight-see.

Expedition leads

One lead on every journey, responsible for the route, the pace and the call to turn around. They have walked the ground before you do.

Teaching pastors

A pastor travels with each journey and reads the passage aloud at the place it happened - Exodus in Midian, 1 Kings between Carmel and Horeb.

Local guides and partners

The people whose ground it is. In Wadi Rum, a Bedouin family who have guided these wadis for four generations; on Ararat, guides who have summited hundreds of times.
